Academica Associates LLC was established as a subsidiary of International Corporate Research in order to undertake---with the utmost confidentiality and exclusivity---a wide range of services on behalf of its corporate and national clients, the sort of services not normally covered by traditional agencies.

Unlike many of the firms that exist to assist the private sector or to advise governments on the best means of improving their image, Academica Associates are not a gun-for-hire willing to represent any and every client that wishes to employ us. Our values remain liberal, in the classical sense of that word, and we believe strongly in the efficacy of the free market and the genius of the market mechanism as a tool for achieving both a strong economy and a free society. We are critical of the over-regulation advocated by many of the private sector’s critics, and strongly favor the sort of limited government advocated by Adam Smith and Thomas Jefferson, and, in our own time, by Friedrich Hayek and Milton Friedman. Our geopolitical views are grounded in the ethos of Western Civilization and the standards, such as pluralism and democracy, that our civilization has come to personify. We will represent no company or country that stands in opposition to these ideals.

Our primary purpose is to act as a private Think Tank serving the needs of a small client base in the international business community. To keep them abreast of developments and ideas that may be perilous or advantageous to their interests; to anticipate problems and opportunities; and to help them to deal with those problems and opportunities as they arise. Above all else, we will strive to assist our clients to view certain matters in a disinterested manner, outside the confines of a given corporate culture.

Our staff, drawn largely from the international academic community, will strive to provide our clients with the sort of perspective and information not normally generated by the business community itself. Our Board of Academic Advisers, along with our international network of academic associates, will be at the constant disposal of our clients, not simply for the purpose of answering questions or looking into a specific problem, but to discuss issues and to “brainstorm” over an array of general issues of concern to our clients.

As we move into the 21st century, with its new challenges, new markets and changing circumstances, businessmen and women will demand, as working tools, the sort of reliable and expert information that has traditionally originated in our universities and research institutions rather than in the private sector itself.

Above all else, Academica Associates will devote its attention to the complex relationships between governments, politics and private organizations (the so-called “New Class” phenomenon), both for and against the activities of our clients, and how these entities relate to the needs and problems of our clients. We will endeavor to plug our clients into the political cultures of Washington, the EU countries and governments around the world, so that they will have a better grasp and understanding of international economic and political developments. Our briefings in these areas will be based on research directed by some of the world’s leading experts and will be undertaken both as part of our normal range of services and when, for a particular reason or purpose,  they are commissioned by the client..

Our staff, aside from being available to our clients at any time, will provide those clients with regular written reports, which we will augment (as needed) with periodic meetings (usually requested by the client) with key political, business and intellectual leaders. These meetings, along with many of our written and oral reports, will be either open to all clients or, if requested by a single client, open only to that client and any individual he might choose to invite.
